irresistible allure with everyone arounder I can understand their adoration but there was not so their love felt too sudden and unrealisticOverall this was a solid debut from author Rebecca Taylor There are flaws with the storyline and the writing but it was entertaining and some revelations were unexpected in good wayThis book was provided by the author in exchange for an A Foxs Love (American Kitsune honest review This book was amazing I sat down and read it in a weekend It kept me guessing all the way till the end and left me wanting The main character Charlotte smart and determined to figure out whatappened to The Provocateur her mother and willing to go to great lengths to get answers Iighly recommend this book to anyone who wants a great read and a great mystery Loved this book I couldn t put it down I just finished it and I want to read it again because I miss the characters and the suspense of the mystery the main character is trying to solve Charlotte Stephens is an orphan Sort of Her mother s been missing since she was twelve and because Trading Christmas her father Simon Stevens is a best selling author 17 times over Elizabeth s disappearance was a tabloid worthy mystery Four years later Charlotte plagiarizes a final paper on Richard II a play she s read four times because she just doesn t care This sets into motion a chain of events a teenager wouldn t anticipate Her principal notifies Charlotte s emergency contacter father s literary agent that Simon Never an outbreak has shown up to a disciplinary meeting sloppy drunk Twenty fourours later Charlotte is on plane for England to stay with an uncle she s never met while Pride her father dries 25 starsThis was a Goodreads win for me and I really wanted to like this book the premise sounded interesting and I love stories set in London Unfortunately the unlikeability of the characters lack of character development of the secondary characters and a ridiculously unbelievable love triangle ruined what mightave been a good storyWhile this wasn t self published it certainly seemed like it was Usually I can overlook grammatical and other errors particularly if it is a self pub book but since there was ostensibly an editor the errors in this book of which there were many were too glaring to ignore The number of words that were used incorrectly tomb instead of tome for instance grammatical errors and even plot errors at one point Charlotte reaches up and touches Men her cross whichas supposedly been missing for uite a while and which she gets back at the end of the book were totally unacceptable and grated on me and as I read the bookCharlotte Stevens is a sixteen year old girl who after Isotopic Carbon having been caught turning in a paper that she downloaded from the Internet even though she was perfectly capable of writing the papererself is being sent to England to stay with The Robotics Primer (Intelligent Robotics Autonomous Agents) (Intelligent Robotics Autonomous Agents) (Intelligent Robotics Autonomous Agents Series) her mother s brother a man she s never even met This isappening not because she cheated but because when Step Out of Your Story her came to Caleb and she really didn t Parking Lot Rules 75 Other Ideas for Raising Amazing Children have any reason to be view spoileryeahe Carlyle Marney hid the diaries fromer and should ve given them intriguing and there was plenty of mystery which made the story interesting Despite the fact the plot develops slowly the story was original and captivating this is what kept me going till the end At times it was difficult to understand what was Deep Learning (Adaptive Computation and Machine Learning series) happening and where the story was going The book is the first installment in a Trilogy and feels like an introduction that sets it up for the remaining books in the series as not a lot isappening in this particular book The characters were depicted realistically It was not difficult to put yourself in their shoes and feeling just as confused as they are trying to figure out what is really Critical Social Theory and the End of Work happening and who can be trusted Overall this is an interesting book To fully understand the story line and to do it justice you will need to read the complete trilogy I wouldn t recommend reading this book as a standalone This review is also available at The Not So Literary HeiressesWhile this book is far from perfect I m glad I stuck through it until the end It took me awhile to actually get into the story the characters are far from being likable and there are times when Charlotte s reactions feel awkward ander decisions pissed me off but the mystery of The Traps her mother s disappearance and connections with the past kept me goingHaving loster mother at a young age without any explanation why Charlotte was torn between wanting to find out what Simple Wicca happened toer but fearing that Protect Your Purity her idealistic memory ofer was all a lie Although the mystery unfolded a bit too slow for me most of the uestions were answered in the end and even though I found some discrepancies throughout the book it was entertaining enough for me to read on I liked the part when she was reading Theatre Histories her mother s diaries it gave readers a bit of a backstory regarding the older characters I think the most interesting character for me is Elizabeth Stevens Charlotte s mother when she was youngerThe book was open ended but I like the fact that there was no cliffanger Yes there is an opening for a possible seuel but that doesn t mean you ave to wait until then to unfold the premise s mysteryI will not classify this as romance to do so I d ave to rate this book pretty low I Yobo hated Charlotte s love interests It seem unnatural that Caleb is mad overeels in love with The Last Runaway her just because of one kiss when they were kidsHe sighed and shutis eyes I love you Charlotte He opened Sanctuary (The New
