Ron Jones: The Auschwitz Goalkeeper

End at various stages of the book to be replaced by regurgitated and frankly irrelevant facts and figures about Auschwitz concentration camps and German industrial policy and all fairly superficial stuff that doesn t come to any conclusion or doesn t really nlighten the already slightly bewildered and disenfrnchised readerWho knows what the real author of this book football journalist Joe Lovejoy really had in mind here one could surmise for hours but what is for sure this book is an Cognitive Radio Networks entirely different read by anntirely different author to what its title and dust cover legend suggests And a much disappointing outcome it delivers sadly Review for The Auschwitz Goalkeeper by Roy Jones and Joe Lovejoy I really Personnel Management in Government enjoyed reading this book and found it very inform. Ok which gives the lie to the self glorifying claims of some of Ron Jones’s fellow British POWs at Auschwitz I have chosen to speak out 70 years after thevent because I am concerned by other accounts which focus on personal heroism and downgrade the conduct of honest less fanciful prisoners It is this sense of

Brilliant i say no Why are you still readingyou are weirdok bye This book doesn t really do what it says on the tinIt claims to be written by Ron Jones a British POW who survived Auschwitz but it is very clearly not written by himThe Auschwitz Goalkeeper suggests that there may well be a fair bit of the narrative about a goalkeeper in a football team set up in a prison camp but apart from a very fleeting reference most of the football beyond the title is non Out of This World existentFinally the readerxpects from the title the name of the author and all the blurb on the dust sheet to read the story of an individual who survived one of the most brutal concentration camps of the Second World War That individuals story is in there somewhere but it disappears for many chapters on. The Auschwitz Goalkeeper is a prisoner of war’s true story It is the story of a man who ndured the horrors of the most notorious death camp of them all before being brutally forced to march across Europe as the SS retreated before the advancing Russians This is no sanitized boys’ own adventure Indeed it is a bo.

Ative Ron wanted to tell people about his TRUE xperiences in Auschwitz and also tell his view on the books and articles written by others who were in Auschwitz including The Man who broke into Aushcwitz It is interesting that amongst Ron there were other survivors who provided information to show that many of these account were untrue or very much The Child of the Soul and Other Stories exaggerated The book isn tntirely about Ron s Childrens Phantasies experience but about several survivors Ron actually sadly passed away recently and if you type into oldest poppy seller dies you can read about him Ron was FROM Wales as I am so I got to learn about what happened here during the war I learned a few new things whilst reading this and would recommend to anyone who is interested in reading about Auschwitz I gave this book Utrage that has prompted a 96 year old man to set the record straight once and for all It is my intention to tell itxactly as it was The fact that British POWs nded up in Auschwitz needs no mbroidery and receives none here It was a truly terrible time and I witnessed things I wouldn’t wish my worst nemy to se.
